The town of Roselle started more than 130 years ago and began as a farming district in Bloomingdale Township where village namesake Rosell (not Roselle) Hough began manufacturing rope and linen with his Illinois Linen Company. In 1873, Hough who was also president of the Chicago and Pacific Railroad was influential in routing a new rail line that would run from Halsted Street in Chicago out to Elgin and then on to Savanna IL.

The Roselle train station is one of the largest and (Milwuakee West Line) also services Medinah, Southern Elk Grove and Schaumburg. It has the largest expanded parking areas with 6 different lots available for daily commuters. Commuters love the express line!
